Two govt employees sentenced jail term in corruption cases

A designated court for corruption cases here sentenced two state government employees for one year in two different cases of bribery.
 
The additional special judge for ACB cases,Hyderabad, convicted V Andraiah, a superintendent working in the office of district medical and health, and sent him to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year with a fine of Rs 1000.
 
The accused officer was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials while taking a bribe of Rs 1500 from the complainant in 2004, an ACB release said.
 
In another case, K Chandra Mouli, office superintendent with Conservator of forests at Kurnool, was awarded one year jail term. He too was caught red-handed by the ACB sleuths in 2004.
