Micro-blogging website Twitter's plan to launch a reality TV show has not gone well with its most celebrated members, Hollywood stars Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, who have threatened to close their account.
The San Francisco-based company has partnered with TV producers for an unscripted show, in which fans try to track down celebrities via the Internet and the news has upset tinseltown's leading tweeters, Hollywood trade magazine Daily Variety reported.
"It's all fun and games until somebody gets stalked,"Kutcher wrote in a post on Monday. The 'Striptease' star, Moore was angered by Twitter's plans and added, "I hope this isn't true. If it is, our
Twitter time may come to a quick and sad end."
But the co-founder of Twitter.com, Biz Stone insists that there is "no official Twitter TV show" and the news relates to a "lightweight, non-exclusive, agreement" he has with TV producers.
