Air passenger held for indecent behaviour, gets bail

An air passenger in the Delhi-Vadodara bound Indigo airlines, was arrested on charges of indecent behaviour and later he was released on bail, police said on Sunday.
       
According to police, this incident occured on Friday afternoon when the Delhi-based businessman Rajiv Malik, unbuttoned his trouser before an airhostess on board.

The incident occured when as a routine exercise, the airhostess had asked all the passengers including Malik to fasten seat belts, they said.

The airhostess brought it to the notice of the captain of the aircraft about the indecent behaviour of the passenger, who after landing at the airport here on Friday, reported to the airline manger who lodge a complaint, they said.

A complaint was registered against Malik and was arrested under Section 294 (Obscene acts and songs) of IPC, police added.

The complaint was filed by Meet Singh, a city-based manager of the airlines, who also alleged that Malik travelling from Delhi to the city was in an inebriated condition.

Police are investigating this case, they said.
