Man dies of sunstroke

A man died of sunstroke at the Mahavir Marg here today, sources said. Pala, resident of Basti Sheikh, was riding a cycle when he suddenly collapsed near APJ College, they said, adding a passerby offered him some water but he fell unconscious.
   
He was immediately rushed to the local civil hospital, where he was declared brought dead. With this death, the number of people killed due to heatwave in the past fortnight in Punjab and Haryana region rose to nine.
