No eye-witness has so far come forward to provide information regarding the death of a 26-year-old journalist, who died after he was hit by a train while boarding another in the national capital.

Additional commissioner of police (Crime) Satyendra Garg said police are investigating all angles though the post mortem report has said that Jayant Kumar Rath, who was working with Hindustan Times, died after being hit by a train on May nine.

"No one has so far approached us to give information regarding the incident," Garg said.

Rath, who hailed from Bhuwaneshwar, was going home for his engagement scheduled later this month. He died last Thursday night after he was crushed by a train when he fell down trying to board another.

Garg said investigators were cross checking what had happened on Thursday night as there were "not many people" present near the area where the incident took place.

"We hope to conclude the investigations soon," he said.
