The family of Akriti Bhatia, who died of asthma attack, on Wednesday alleged bias in the formation of a committee by the authorities of Modern School to probe the death of the teenaged girl.
The family claims that the committee comprises certain persons who has earlier helped the school in some court cases.
Modern School on Monday set up a four-member committee, headed by George Verghese, to probe allegations of "negligence" leading to the death of Akriti.
"Certain members of the committee are alumni of the school. Besides, one of the member had helped the school earlier in a court case. We believe that the inquiry will not be fair," Raman Bhatia, uncle of the victim, alleged.
He said that this issue has been taken up before Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit and Police commissioner YS Dadwal.
Verma further alleged that the principal of the school Goldie Malhotra, who is at the centre of the controversy for her reported negligence leading to Akriti's death, is interfering with the process of inquiry.
Attempts to talk to school authorities proved futile as they did not come on line.
Meanwhile, students today took out a candlelight procession in front of the school. The parents of Akriti participated in it.
Meanwhile, two members of Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights went to the school and spoke to the authorities about the incident.
DCPCR chief Amod Kant had met Akriti's family members on Tuesday, Verma said.
The Delhi government has set up a separate committee to probe the matter.
Verma said the family may soon move the court on the matter.
