TN CM to be discharged on March 1

Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi, who underwent a spinal cord surgery earlier this month, will be discharged on Sunday.

Since the chief minister had undergone major surgery, he has been advised "compulsory rest" for a few more weeks, an official press release said.

Karunanidhi (85) was admitted to the private Sri Ramachandra Hospital near Chennai on January 26 after he complained of severe back pain. The surgery was performed on February 11.
