Ace winger Cristiano Ronaldo launched a blistering attack on Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho, saying Manchester United will overcome its Italian rival in the Champions League round of 16.

Earlier, Mourinho had said he believes Ronaldo is overrated and that Nerazzurri striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the better player.

Ronaldo was part of the Manchester United team that won the Champions League last season. He was also awarded the Ballon d'Or as Fifa's world footballer of the year.

"I respect everybody's opinion, but let me tell both of them all the trophies for best player last season — Fifa, Champions League, FIFpro, Ballon d'Or — are in my house, not Ibrahimovic's," The Sun quoted Ronaldo as saying.

"Inter are a strong team, with some great players, but we are better than them and I strongly believe we can beat them," he said. "Eliminating them will bring us one step closer to the final."
