A middle-aged man and a toddler were run over in separate road accidents in the city involving a BMTC bus and a tempo van.

BANGALORE: A middle-aged man and a toddler were run over in separate road accidents in the city involving a BMTC bus and a tempo van during the past 24 hours.
The bus driver has been arrested while the van driver is still at large.
Naiz Pasha, 40, a vegetable vendor and resident of BD Karmirkara colony in Kengeri, was run over by a BMTC bus near Robin talkies bus stand on Saturday at 9.30pm.
Naiz, father of five, was married to Sammen Taj.
The bus driver has been arrested.
In another incident, a two-year-old boy was killed when a tempo van ran over him in Kothanur near BIAL on Sunday at 9am.
Honappa, the victim, was son of Nagaraj and Mallava from Gulbarga who were working in a building in Kothanur. He was playing on the road near the construction site when the accident took place.
The van driver is absconding.
