Malhotra promises death for Afzal if BJP gets reins

NEW DELHI: Gearing up for the upcoming elections in the capital, the Bharatiya Janata Party made its stand clear on Monday stating that if they are chosen to power in Delhi, they would recommend that Afzal Guru be hanged at the earliest.

“It’s not a very lengthy issue. It should not take more than a minute to recommend Afzal’s hanging. If we come to power in Delhi, that is one thing we would do on priority,” said VK Malhotra, the chief ministerial candidate of BJP in Delhi.

Speaking before the media against the Congress-led government in Delhi, Malhotra said the city had become a hub of terrorists because of the Congress government which is “soft on terrorists”.

“The people of Delhi have started fearing for their lives for the first time and it is the Congress government which should be blamed for it,” he added.

VK Malhotra is the chief ministerial candidate of Delhi and BJP has made terrorism its one of the main political agenda to fight assembly elections in Delhi.
