AHMEDABAD: Hyderabad Heroes hardly broke into a sweat during their 9-wicket win over the Royal Bengal Tigers. The match was handed over, gift wrapped, to the Chris Harris-led side by the Mithun Chakraborty-owned team.
Wicketkeeper Ibrahim Khaleel and Ambati Rayadu guided the Heroes safely home. The Heroes made the most of the small target by getting good batting practice before the semifinals. Khaleel in the process hit his maiden ICL fifty.
Ambati Rayadu hit an unbeaten 46. The two added an unbeaten partnership of 107 in 73 balls after Abdul Razzaq got out to left-arm speedster Sujay Tarafdar for seven.Earlier, after winning the toss, Chris Harris asked the Craig McMillan-led Tigers to bat first. Dangerous Hamish Marshall and Deep Dasgupta were dismissed cheaply. New ball bowler KS Sahabuddin cleaned up the openers.
