Sources say the Bollywood star is making a show, tentatively titled Ghar Ki Baat, on the lines of Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi—the popular comedy of the ’80s

IT seems that Shah Rukh Khan believes in doing something new every time. After producing films and owning a team in the Indian Premier League, the superstar is all set to produce shows for the small screen too.

SRK’s production house — Red Chillies Entertainment Pvt Ltd — is making a weekly sitcom for NDTV Imagine. If sources are to be believed, the show is on the lines of Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi which stole the hearts of millions of Indians.

Says a source,  “Shah Rukh has been toying with the idea of producing shows for TV for quite some time. Having started his career with the small screen, he is a little emotional about this medium. The show has been tentatively titled Ghar Ki Baat and will focus on day-to-day life with a humorous touch.”

The show will feature some of the well-known television actors like Jayati Bhatia, Sumeet Raghavan. It will also mark the TV debut of Juhi Babbar after her failed movie career. The shooting of the show will commence from the end of this month.
When we contacted Juhi to know more about the show and her character, she said, “I am under contract and won’t be able to talk about it. Unless and until Red Chillies allows me to talk, my lips are totally sealed.”

Aziz Mirza will be the creative director of the show. Anant Mahadevan, who started his career by directing Indradhanush shows in 1989, will probably direct the show.
