SONEPAT: Rubbishing rumours of his quitting the party, BJP MP from Sonepat Kishan Singh Sangwan on Monday said that he would abide by the party high command decision on the tie-up with the INLD for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

"I will not quit the party," Sangwan, a strong opponent of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo and former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, said when asked about reports that he was unhappy with the BJP's decision on forming an alliance with the INLD in Haryana.

He said that the Sonepat Lok Sabha seat which he has been representing for the last one decade, has been allotted to the BJP and claimed his candidature for this seat is likely to be announced by the party leader L K Advani at a rally on November one.

Sangwan declared that he would abide by the decision of the party high command about the tie-up with the INLD.

Sangwan was associated with former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal and was elected to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha in 1987. He had remained with Devi Lal until 1999.

When INLD decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections jointly with the BJP, Chautala denied party ticket to Sangwan.

Thereafter Sangwan joined the BJP and was allotted party ticket from the Sonepat Lok Sabha seat.
