KOTA: One person was sentenced to life imprisonment for kidnapping and murdering young girls at Keshavpura six years ago.
A fast track court on Saturday handed down life imprisonment to Davendra Kumar Sen on the charge of murdering Deepa and Jyoti, daughters of Saboolal in Keshavpura on February 12, 2002.
According to the prosecution, Saboolal had lodged a complaint with the Mahaveer Nagar police station that his maternal uncle's son Kumar had kidnapped and murdered his daughters.
Kumar, according to the complaint, had killed the minor girls after taking them from home on the pretext of a ride on his scooter. The bodies were found in a pit along with the blade used to kill them.
The court also slapped a fine of Rs 2,000 on the convict.
