NEW DELHI: The CBI’s claims of finding scientific evidence to crack the Noida double murder case seems to have fallen flat with the Ghaziabad court, on Friday, granting bail to Krishna, Raj Kumar and Vijay Mandal on a surety of Rs25,000 each. Krishna, Aarushi’s father Raj Talwar’s compounder, Raj, the Talwar’s family friend Durrani’s domestic help and Vijay have been accused of allegedly murdering Aarushi Talwar and Hemraj, the Talwars’ domestic help.

The CBI alleged that Krishna and Raj would try to flee out of the country since they hail from Nepal. However, the court granted them bail, as the CBI failed to present any evidence.

“The CBI never had any evidence against any of the three accused. That’s why they were unable to find any. We had urged the court earlier that they were not guilty,” said FC Sharma, Krishna’s lawyer.

“They were trying to protect the Talwars by levelling false charges against Krishna,” said Sunita, Krishna’s niece.   “The court has also agreed to our stand. Krishna was at home on the night of the murder. He is not involved,” she added.

While the CBI had claimed before the court that the telephonic conversations and scientific evidences indicated Krishna and Raj’s involvement in the double murder, the officers also told the court that they did not have any material evidence against the accused.
