'No intention to arrest Sister Albeena'

CBI said that they had no intention to arrest sister Albeena Mary, senior sister, in connection with the suicide of 23 year-old nun Anoopa Mary of the St Mary's convent at Kollam.

KOCHI: Crime Branch on Monday informed the Kerala High court that they had no intention to arrest sister Albeena Mary, senior sister, in connection with the suicide of 23 year-old nun Anoopa Mary of the St Mary's convent at Kollam.    

Crime Branch informed the court that at present they had not made sister Albeena an accused in the case and they had no intention to arrest her at present.
  
Recording the statement of the Crime Branch, Justice K Hema, closed the proceedings in the anticipatory bail application of sister Albeena.
   
The nun was found dead in the convent on Aug 11 and her father had complained of harassment by sister Albeena which forced his daughter to take the extreme step.
  
The Crime Branch also stated that the mobile phone details of sister Anoopa needs to be examined and her suicide note has to be sent for scientific analysis.
  
Fearing arrest, sister Albeena had moved the anticipatory bail application. She stated that Sister Anoopa appeared uneasy, depressed and disturbed as she could not get MBBS admission.
