Woman dies at Mumbai airport

MUMBAI: A woman passenger died at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport soon after arriving here on an Air India flight Thursday morning, officials said.

According to the airport officials, the passenger, identified as Sunita Pal, cleared the immigration and then collapsed.

"The airport doctor rushed to the spot to administer medical treatment but she did not respond after which was declared dead," an airport official said requesting anonymity.

Pal, who was accompanied by her husband, was already suffering from illness when she boarded the AI-200 Nairobi-Mumbai flight, the officials said.
