Voice of India winner drowns

In a tragic incident, Ishmeet Singh, the first  winner of the reality show Star Voice of India, died by drowning in a swimming pool in Male, capital of the Maldives, on Tuesday evening.

Ishmeet left for Maldives on Tuesday for a performance. However, his body was found in the swimming pool of his hotel later that day.

Confirming the news, a relative said, “We are too shocked to react. We have no information so far as to how Ishmeet died.”

After winning Star Voice of India, Ishmeet also participated in another reality show – Jo Jeeta Wahi Superstar – which concluded earlier this month.
