Neeta misses out on Asia Cup

Designer Neeta Lulla was approached to show her line during the Asia Cup Indo-Pak match, but had to decline the offer due to date problems reports vidya Prabhu

Designer Neeta Lulla is one busy woman. She has just showed her line at the MTN Durban Fashion Week. Apart from this, she’s designing Aishwarya Rai’s wardrobe for the upcoming The Unforgettable—Bachchans’ world tour, followed by a show in Mauritius soon.

However theone show that Neeta was looking forward to did not materialise. “I was approached to show my line in Pakistan during the Asia Cup Indo-Pak match. Now that would have been something. But I had to decline due to prior work commitments. The dates just didn’t work out. However, if a similar opportunity comes my way again, I’ll just grab it with both hands,” she notes.

Despite her busy schedule, Neeta manages to do justice to all her assignments. Even while she was in Durban, Neeta took some time out from her busy schedule and visited an HIV infected village on the outskirts of Durban.

“These AIDS infected people are so positive and they are busy making African handicrafts in a big way. In fact, even the children there are actively involved in the making of these handicrafts,” explained Neeta.

Coming back to her busy scedule, she says, “I’m neck-deep in work. Ideally, I would have loved to spend some leisure time in South Africa, but that was not to be.”

As far as designing for the The Unforgettable tour, she says, “Rohit Bal has already designed for Big B and Abhishek. I still have a lot of work left and very little time to do it.”

This means she’s not at liberty to say much about Ash’s clothes. Now that’s what we call one multitasking woman.
