Three arrested for posing as Raj Kapoor's relatives

NAGPUR:  Three persons including two women were arrested as they posed as relatives of noted film star of yesteryears Raj Kapoor and tried to sell off 25 acres of land owned by late actor's brother-in-law in the city, police said on Sunday.
    
According to police the trio Durga Pandurang Rokde (35), Nitika Rao (32) and Satyapal Kewalramani (52) tried to sell the real estate belonging to late Charanjeet Sial, Kapoor's brother-in-law.
    
Nitika posed as Kapoor's niece while Kewalramani as his nephew.
    
The duo offered the land at a rate of Rs 7.75 lakh per acre to a land developer and received an advance payment of Rs five lakh from him, police added.
    
They met the builder at a posh hotel in Mumbai. However, the builder grew suspicious and informed police which laid a trap and arrested the trio when they signed the agreement with fake documents of the property, police said.
    
A police team from the city arrested them in Mumbai and the court remanded them to police custody till June 10.
