Sajid Khan doesn’t want to give up anything. Be it anchoring, acting, hosting chat shows or even trying his hand in reality shows

Sajid Khan, who finally found his footing in Bollywood as a director with Heyy Babyy, has signed on Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone as a romantic pair for his next film. The duo is already working as a lead pair in Nikhil Advani’s Chandni Chowk to China.

Says Sajid, “They really look very good together. I guess they might have just the right chemistry on screen. The movie will also have Hritesh Deshmukh and Jiah Khan in the cast.”

Sajid is on the lookout for two senior actors as another romantic pair in the film. “I haven’t finalised on anyone but I definitely need a big name to act alongside Akshay and Deepika. And the pair should be equally big if not more in their star value,” Sajid adds.
So after Heyy Babyy, Sajid doesn’t want to move away from the genre of romantic comedies, something that his sister Farah too seems to be very adept at.

“Oh! Please don’t say that. I love dark comedies and thrillers. I am definitely going to make a movie on those genres the moment I get the right script,” he adds.
One of the guys very close to Sajid Nadiadwala, this Khan has refused to work with any other producer till date.

“I have got some offers and which is normal if one of your movies is a hit but I have really not taken on any offer from anybody no matter how big the money is. I am comfortable working with him and will be directing three films for his banner,” reveals Sajid.

One of the very few survivors in Bollywood, who has dabbled with perhaps everything before he finally hit the marquee as a director, Sajid says that he is not keen to give up on anything right now.

“Sorry I am not going to give up on anything right now. I will continue being an actor and an anchor and a director and everything that comes my way. I am happy being the way I am as long as my CA is not complaining,” says the debutant director in his trademark jest.

To ride on the ongoing reality TV bandwagon, Sajid is also planning his own show called Sajid’s Superstars (on the channel Colours).

“I am going to invite all the superstars on my show and I am confident that it will work. I am going to make a formal announcement about it a month later. Before that I won’t be able to give away the format of the show,” Sajid says.
