Everyone  knows that Aamir Khan treads his own path. Now, he is breaking yet another Bollywood rule, reports Shubha Shetty-Saha

Expect Aamir Khan to break rules and carve his own path. The actor, apparently, is planning to release his production Ghajini on a Wednesday instead of the traditional Friday.

This Tamil remake has been scheduled for release on  October 1, 2008 as Aamir plans to  cash in on the long weekend that follows soon after.

Eid may fall on October 1, followed by Gandhi Jayanti  on October 2 (Thursday). This will be followed by a long weekend including Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Ghajini, which is claimed to have  already been sold for Rs 90 crore to India Films, makes for the highest pre-sale in India (beating the record of Om Shanti Om’, which was sold for Rs 73  crore).

It is perhaps one of the most awaited films of the year. Ghajini, which starred actor Surya in the Tamil original, has South Indian actress Asin making her Bollywood debut. Aamir will be playing the lead. Jiah Khan also plays a role in the film.
