Man stabs four-month pregnant sister

AHMEDABAD: Angry over her marriage against the wishes of the family, a man stabbed his pregnant sister in the Bapunagar area of the city, police sources said on Tuesday.
 
The four-month pregnant victim was stabbed twice with a knife, on the back and on her left arm, by her brother when she visited her parents house last night, sources said.
 
The woman is in a critical condition and is undergoing treatment at the Shardaben hospital in Saraspur area.
 
The woman after her marriage was not in touch with them since more than a year, sources said.

On Monday, when she came to visit her parents, her brother in fit of anger stabbed her with a knife and ran away, sources added.
 
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against the woman's brother, police added.
