DTC bus driver shot dead, passenger robbed of Rs 46 lakh

GHAZIABAD: Masked marauders shot dead a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus driver and decamped with Rs 46 lakh in Moradnagar area here on Monday.
  
According to police, unidentified miscreants waylaid the Meerut-Delhi bus under Moradnagar police station area.
  
The accused indiscriminately fired upon driver Preetam Lal, when he raised an alarm.
  
The victim succumbed on the spot, police added. 
  
Later, the accused escaped after robbing a goldsmith of the cash.
  
A manhunt had been launched.
