Taj ready for Sarkozy, with or without Carla

AGRA: The Taj Mahal, the majestic monument to love, is all spruced up to receive French President Nicolas Sarkozy, with or without his girlfriend Carla Bruni.

An army of security personnel has been deployed in and around the 17th century marble monument ahead of Sarkozy's arrival from New Delhi on Saturday.

Tourists were politely asked to move out of the Taj by 12.30 pm. All traffic movement around the Taj has been halted.

Officials said Sarkozy was scheduled to reach the monument at 1.10 pm.

There is no official word if Bruni will join Sarkozy. But many journalists who have gathered here in large numbers feel they will get to see the pair.
