PERTH: India's left-arm pacer Rudra Pratap Singh and wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will remember the second day of the third Test as they established personal milestones against Australia on Thursday.

Singh captured four for 68 for his best bowling feat against Australia. This was the second best performance of his career; his best remains five for 59 against England at Lord's, London, last year.

Vice-captain Dhoni became the first Indian wicketkeeper to effect five dismissals in an innings against Australia.

Left-arm pacer Irfan Pathan produced his best bowling performance (2/63) against Australia in Australia, bettering his two for 80 in the 2003-04 Sydney Test.

Pacer Ishant Sharma's two for 34 was also his best bowling against Australia. In the second Test in Sydney, he went wicketless conceding 87 in the first innings and 59 in the second.

Dhoni and Pathan put on 44 runs for the seventh wicket, which is India's highest stand in Perth. They eclipsed the 38-run record between Brijesh Patel and Srinivas Venkataraghavan in December 1977.

Dhoni and Pathan helped India make 330 in their first innings. Australia replied with 212 and India in their second innings were 52 for one.
