MUMBAI: Mumbai Police Friday termed as a 'total hoax' reports about a truck laden with explosives that was headed from Goa to Mumbai.

Chief of Mumbai Police's Anti-Terrorist Squad KP Raghuvanshi said on Friday afternoon that a call about the 'terror truck' was made to Goa Police Control room on Wednesday by a man in an inebriated state.

"There's nothing to it. He has been identified and we will deal with him," he asserted.

Raghuvanshi declined to elaborate.

According to a report in a section of Mumbai media, it was claimed that a terror truck loaded with explosives was headed towards the country's commercial capital. Its target was allegedly the Siddhivinayak Temple at Dadar in central Mumbai.

Raghuvanshi said the city police are always prepared for any eventuality.
