MUMBAI: In keeping up with its recent stand, the Cricket Board on Saturday announced that Lalchand Rajput would continue to be the Indian team's cricket manager for the five-match One-Day International series against Pakistan.
"Lalchand Rajput will continue as interim cricket manager for ODI series against Pakistan," said a media release from BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah.
Significantly Rajput, who was the cricket manager of the Indian team at World Twenty20 Championship in South Africa last month and the seven-maatch ODI series plus the one-off T20 International against Australia, has not yet been appointed for the three-Test rubber against Pakistan too.
The BCCI has fixed a meeting of its coach selection committee in Mumbai on November 3 and if it succeeds in finding a successor to Greg Chappell, who quit the post in April, during the sitting the selected candidate is likely to take over the reins from the Test series against Pakistan.
