Bajrangi may end up in jail

AHMEDABAD: Tehelka’s sting may put Gujarat Shiv Sena leader Babu Bajrangi behind bars again. He was caught on camera taking pride in engineering the massacre at Naroda Patiya. The state government’s special prosecutor will move an application next week in the city sessions court seeking cancellation of Bajrangi’s bail.

The government counsel claimed the move had nothing to do with the Tehelka sting where Bajrangi exposed state complicity in 2002 riots, and that the application was being moved on the ground that he did not comply with the bail conditions of the Gujarat high court.

Bajrangi is a prime accused in the Naroda patiya case, where 97 persons were killed by a mob on February 28, 2002. He was granted bail by the Gujarat HC after six months in jail.
