NEW DELHI: Aggression brings the best out of Sreesanth, Indian vice-captain Yuvraj Singh has said.

"Aggression should be in control. Most of the bowlers go out of the way but I think being aggressive brings the best out of Sreesanth and he needs to control it and not harm the team," Yuvraj was quoted as saying in an interview to NDTV.

Sreesanth's on-field antics have caught as much attention as his lion-hearted bowling.

Only the second cricketer from Kerala to turn out for the national team, he took the country by storm with his aggressive bowling and has been a delight on the field with his entertaining antics, much to the chagrin of the opposing batsmen.

"At times Sreesanth has done certain things which are outside the guidelines and whenever he is playing he is the talk of town. All eyes are on him and on what he's doing in the field," said India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Right from his celebratory dance after hitting South African fast bowler Andre Nel for a huge six last year, to his chit chat and Mammooty-like walks on the ground, Sreesanth has provided much amusement to the spectators. But it has come at a price.

The medium-pacer has been censored on numerous occasions and even fined a few times.

"Right now he is in the shooting range. People, match referees would be strict to him of course. Now he has changed a lot in the past few months. He has to be careful about his aggression," Dhoni added.

Dhoni led a young bunch to triumph at the Twenty20 World Championships and the squad is being widely tipped as the future of Indian cricket.

"Captaincy is a tough job. Being the keeper of the side you have to assess situations and look at how the batsmen are playing, look for fielding and bowling changes but you have a team where the senior guys are there to help you," said Dhoni.

The Indian captain also added that Yuvraj is the fielding skipper and arranges the fielding.

"If everyone knows what his roles and responsibilities are there's not much for a skipper to do on the field," Dhoni added.

Yuvraj complimented his captain by saying: "Being an Indian captain is the most difficult thing in India. So the boys have to help him because he has to make all decisions after every over so I take a little burden and support him."

The Indian captain also added that the Indian team needs a coach.

"Coaches are more for motivation. Not too many changes are needed at the international level. It's just about the motivation and giving confidence to the players. Coaches play an important part," Dhoni said.
