Soren to spend another night in jail

DUMKA,(JHARKHAND): JMM supremo Shibu Soren, who was acquitted by Delhi High Court in the murder case of his aide Sashinath Jha, has to spend another night in Dunka central jail as his expected release by this evening was delayed due to technical reasons.

"A technical problem is there in the papers obtained from Jamtara court extended Soren's stay. We expect his release tomorrow (Friday)," Soren's aide Krishna Singh told newsmen here.

A 'corrected' version of the papers could reach here any time, he added.

Earlier in the day, Soren's counsel R K Anand reached Dumka with papers and had told the waiting media that the JMM supremo was likely to be released by this evening.

Delhi High Court yesterday set aside a trial court order sentencing him for life in connection with the murder of his private secretary Sashinath Jha.
