Producer held in Malaysia, released

Film producer Sunil Sharma was arrested in Malaysia for allegedly failing to clear his production expenses in Malaysia, where he had gone to shoot his film ‘Lahore’.

    Film producer Sunil Sharma was arrested in Malaysia for allegedly failing to clear his production expenses in Malaysia, where he had gone to shoot his film ‘Lahore’.

    Sources said though the crew left the country on July 13 , the producer stayed back. When asked about the pending Rs 11 lakh bills, Sharma said he would pay up the dues before he left for India.  But RA Rao, MD of Siva Productions, which handled shooting schedules, said Sharma tried fleeing and  reached the airport on July 16.

    He was arrested at the airport and released on bail . However, Sharma told DNA that he had been framed in a wrong case. “I have been released. I was framed.”
