HP, Medi Assist in $2m deal

MUMBAI: Medi Assist Private Ltd, a joint venture between Nadathur Holdings and ADAG company Reliance Health Ventures, has inked a two-million-dollar deal with Hewlett-Packard (HP), to offer end-to-end healthcare solutions to customers.

"HP would help Medi Assist to strengthen its claims processing system and deliver high-quality healthcare to end customers in a caring and cost effective manner," HP Services Vice President Kapil Jain said.

Medi Assist provides services to enable cashless healthcare services at pre-designated points at hospitals and nursing homes.

"This initiative will help Medi Assist increase the capacity, speed and quality of the claims processing system and augment the suite of value-added services the company offers to corporate customers," Medi Assist Chief Operations Officer B Madhavan said.
"The IT information at Medi Assist will help us achieve a scalable, reliable transaction processing model that also ensures the utmost security and confidentiality of patient records," he added.

Medi Assist will work with HP to enhance the solution as the patient records multiply and needs become more complex.
