MUMBAI: Infosys Technologies has received the top score for overall strategy in applications outsourcing (AO) among North American AO providers, a Forrester Research report said.
India's second largest software exporter has managed to gain the score on the back of a strong reputation for cultural fit among North American customers as well as its capability in the AO space, the company said citing the Forrester Wave: North American Applications Outsourcing Q1 report.
This strategy allows Infosys to compete effectively with MNCs and offshore rivals alike, Forrester, a leading analyst firm which covers IT industry said.
The report also describes the company's strong solution strategy, including a particularly strong vision for improving internal productivity as a "strategy envisioning a world in which a variety of outsourcing providers serve a single customer".
In its latest guidance, Infosys Technologies said it is aiming to grow its revenues by 24.6 per cent in 2007-08 and reach four billion dollar-mark.
"...Infosys is living in the real world. Its vision is strong on what it describes as Modular Global Sourcing, in which various suppliers work together to deliver innovation in the customer environment, and it has adjusted its vision for engagement governance accordingly," Forrester said.
On the 'Modular Global Sourcing' concept, Infosys Strategic Global Sourcing head Sukhen Patel said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange that by applying the fundamental concepts of modularisation to business process and IT services sourcing, Infosys is helping customers realise operational efficiencies and enabling business innovation.
