BANGALORE: Three counters of Air Deccan were on Saturday ransacked by some angry passengers after they were denied boarding passes by the airlines for reporting late, police said.

Twenty passengers, who had booked tickets three months back for Mumbai, went berserk when the airline officials expressed their inability to issue the boarding passes as they had arrived merely 15 minutes before the scheduled departure of the flight, they said.

"The passengers approached the counters at around 5.15 am, 15-minutes ahead of departure of the flight, by the time the counters were closed," police said.

The passengers were pacified after the intervention of police and after an assurance of their journey by next flight.
