NEW DELHI: The main opposition BJP on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement in Parliament, saying it does not shed light on behind-the-scene talks on Jammu and Kashmir, internal security and naxalism.

"Our questions have remained unanswered," Leader of the Opposition L K Advani told reporters, citing his party's concern over the joint-terror mechanism with Pakistan on Kashmir.

The BJP leader, who warned against any surrender on Kashmir, said government fell short of making terrorism an issue in its dialogue with Pakistan.

"What we would like to know is that whether it (dialogue) is in conformity with the unanimous resolution of Parliament (on Kashmir)," Advani remarked.

Also, he maintained that the Prime Minister has not been able to substantiate his statement that the internal security situation was far better now than it was under the NDA rule.

The former Deputy Prime Minister also voiced concern over ULFA's strikes against Hindi-speaking people in Assam, calling the acts the "most dangerous dimension" of the outfit's alleged links with Congress.

He said there has been an enormous increase in naxals' activities in the country but the Prime Minister, he alleged, gave no "perspective or direction" to deal with the problem.

At a party briefing earlier, senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj said Advani, who did not speak after Singh's reply to the motion of thanks on the Presidential address, may write a letter to the Prime Minister.
