Injured Nadal out of Paris Masters

PARIS: French Open champion Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the Paris Masters, starting Monday, because of a rib injury.   

The Spanish 20-year-old was due to be one of the star attractions at the last Masters event of the year but suffered the injury while training in Spain.   

"I woke up on Thursday with stomach pains but I still decided to train," explained double French Open champion Nadal.   

"Everything was going well until I started serving. That's when I felt the pain come back," he said.
