VALSAD: A bomb scare on the Mumbai-bound Saurashtra Express turned out to be a hoax after the train was detained at Sanjan railway station and searched on Monday evening, railway police sources said.
Bomb disposal squads and railway officials rushed to Sanjan railway station a few kilometers from Vapi where the train was detained following an anonymous call about a bomb in the train.
Police searched the entire train for about two hours before declaring the call as hoax, officials said.
This is the second hoax call in a couple of days. A similar hoax call had prompted the authorities to delay the Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express at Ahmedabad railway station for about two hours.
