12-year-old blast victim not Pak national: Police

MALEGAON: Sajida Bahanu Rizwan, the 12-year-old girl who died in the Malegaon blasts on September 8, was a resident of the Islamabad locality of Malegaon and not a Pakistani national, police said on Monday.

The residents of the Islamabad locality had earlier claimed that Sajida was a native of Pakistan.

Sources had claimed that the family members of the girl had performed her last rites at the Bada Kabarastan itself and returned to Islamabad, prompting police to check whether she was a Pakistani national.
