Nearly two dozen metal pieces resembling hand grenades were recovered from the bed of a lake in Wada town in neighbouring Thane district.

MUMBAI: Nearly two dozen metal pieces resembling hand grenades were recovered from the bed of a lake in Wada town in neighbouring Thane district, 120 km from here, police said on Wednesday.
The metal objects were fished out by local fishermen on Tuesday and handed over to police, they said.
Thane rural police has sought the help of explosive experts to find out if the material was scrap or live hand grenades.
