MEDINAH: Sergio Garcia had a close look at both Tiger Woods’s PGA Championship victories at Medinah and the 26-year-old Spaniard is wondering when the American will give someone else a chance.

“Well, it doesn’t look like it so far,” Garcia said of Woods. Garcia, at the age of 19, was runner-up to Woods in the 1999 PGA at Medinah. On Sunday, Garcia’s two-under 70 in the last round left him joint third at 12-under-par 276, six shots behind the world number one, who started the day tied for the lead.

“What can I say? I mean, he definitely played extremely well,” said Garcia, who is still seeking his first major victory. Garcia said he must remain patient for Woods to show a crack in his aura of invincibility.

“It will happen eventually.”
