SNDT student falls to death

MUMBAI: Asha Satpale, 23, a third-year nursing student at the SNDT Women’s University, fell to her death from the third floor of the university’s annex building at Churchgate on Wednesday afternoon.

A university source said that Asha, a resident of Palghar, had been unwell for the past three days.

University officials had informed her parents about her illness and had requested them to visit her at the hostel.

The Azad Maidan police said that Asha had suffered serious injuries. She was rushed to GT Hospital where she was declared dead before admission.
S Patankar, police inspector, said investigations were on to ascertain whether Asha fell accidentally or committed suicide by jumping from the annex building. 

Asha is the daughter of a security guard working in a private company.
