NEW DELHI: The Congress on Monday warned Jagat Singh, son of former Union minister Natwar Singh, that he would invite disciplinary action if he persisted with charges against party leaders and ministers on the Volcker issue.
"If there is persistent defiance or default, disciplinary action cannot be ruled out", party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters when asked about Jagat's charge that Finance Minsiter P Chidambaram has instructed the Enforcement Directorate to "find something" against him "even if it is not Volcker-related."
Singhvi, however, said that he was making a general statement and not related to any individual.
The ED has denied Jagat's charge.
