RAIPUR: Maoists have abducted seven villagers, including six women, in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district, police said on Wednesday.
The villagers had gone to jungles to collect firewood when they were taken hostage by the Maoists on Tuesday in Injeram area, about 500 km from the state capital, police sources said.
Two woman hostages were released today. "The details of the other four women and the lone man are not known," police said.
The seven were residents of Injeram and Ashirguda villages, they said.
