For TV stars with 24/7 shooting schedules, the Gr8 Xtra Premium Welfare Cup comes as a refreshing break. "We don't get time to play cricket though it's a game that I love. Also all my co-stars are going to be there, so it's definitely something to watch out for," says an excited Hiten Tejwani, who plays the popular Karan in 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.'

For most of the TV stars participating in the match, it's the cause — the 'Beti Movement' for creating awareness about female infanticide — that prompted them to get together and do it.  "I really wanted to contribute, but since I don't know to play cricket I thought I could be a part of it in some other way," says actor Shama Sikandar, who will play cheer leader.

CM Vilasrao Deshmukh will be the chief guest at the game, which is being held at Andheri Sports Complex on June 4.  "Mayor Datta Dalvi will be present. We are expecting 15,000 people," says Anu Ranjan, president of the Indian Television Academy that is organising the event in association with DNA.

As far as preparations for the game is concerned, a grand practice session is planned a day before the event.
