Youth sold dream job lemon

The Chembur police on Saturday registered a case against three persons for allegedly cheating a 24-year-old man on the pretext of providinghim employment either in Singapore or Dubai. Those against whom the case has been filed have been identified as Premkumar alias Mohammad Sharif, 45, Sajid, 45 and Jaffer, 34.

According to a police officer, between October 15 and November 7, the trio, which runs an overseas job agency at Swastik Chambers in Chembur, allegedly took cash over Rs18lakh from complainant Kaushalkumar Kushwaha, a resident of Nerul, for providing him job.

However, when they were unable to fulfil their promises, Kushwaha registered a police complaint. The police are yet to make any arrests and further investigations are on.
