The officers of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) have arrested a man who was allegedly supplying weapons to Chhota Rajan gang members in the city.

The arrested person had supplied huge cache of arms to four of Rajan gang members a few days ago.

Accordingly he was arrested from his Navi Mumbai residence on Saturday by the team of inspectors Dinesh Kadam and Sukhlal Varpe. The police have seized one magazine, 24 live bullets, mobile phone and cash from his residence.

"We have specific information that Shetty had recently supplied a revolver, pistol, 13 live bullets and a handgun to four men having association with the notorious criminal Vijay Kedari. It is a well-known fact that Kedari is a close associate of Rajan," said an ATS official.

The ATS officials are now investigating the source of weapons and also the purpose of ferrying huge quantity of arms cache in the city.
