MMRDA commissioner Ratnakar Gaikwad has denied the allegation that he assisted Dr Archana Tiwari, daughter of his personal physician Dr PL Tiwari, also from Bombay Hospital, in a flat allotment in the controversial Adarsh Co-operative Housing Society at Colaba.
Gaikwad told DNA that he has not even seen the face of the lady doctor. “After reading the news report, I learnt that Dr Tiwari had been involved in a legal tussle over the allotment for over half a decade now,” said Gaikwad.
“She has been a member of the society since 2004 and had moved the Bombay high court as well as the property court to get a flat allotted in her name,’’ Gaikwad contended.
Dr Tiwari too claimed to have got the flat on her own merit.
