MNS chief Raj Thackeray has said that BJP leader Gopinath Munde refrained from joining the Congress as he failed to get "good offer" from that party.

In the backdrop of Munde declaring a truce with the BJP leadership, Raj said,"He (Munde) has now declared that he would not be leaving the party and joining Congress because he did not get good offer from the Congress. But it is evident that he would not remain in BJP for longer time."

Targeting BJP and Shiv Sena without taking names, Thackeray said that due to inefficient opposition at place, both in state and Centre, that the common people are supporting activists like Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev.

"Anna should better carry on his agitation in the state instead of Delhi," Thackeray told reporters here last night.

Informing that his party had already started preparing for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections due next year, Thackeray said that MNS would contest the elections without aligning with any party.

The MNS chief, who is supposed to appear in a local court today, said that the issue of development of cities and providing infrastructure is close to his heart and he has been working on a blue print which would be made public in the near future.
