Yet another PIL on November 26 Mumbai terror attacks has landed in the Bombay High Court, this time inspired by newspaper reports on the bickering between top police officers.
Based on media reports, petitioner Goldie Sud has sought action for dereliction of duty against additional commissioners of police KL Prasad, Deven Bharati, Parambir Singh and K Venkatesan.
A section of media had reported that Gafoor blamed these officers for not obeying his orders, but Gafoor later denied the reports.
Nevertheless, Sud has contended that action should be taken against the four officers.
So far, at least eight PILs have been filed in Bombay High Court in the aftermath of the attacks, but their hearings were stayed by the Supreme Court.
